Race 3, round 12. The reverse grid sees the top six places switched.
That puts Jordan on pole, followed by Plato, Chilton, Cook, Cammish then Neal.
The race starts, Cook gets ahead of Chilton off the line into 3rd. Gornall gets a good start and is up into 6th. As they carry on round the first lap, Cook moves up into 2nd ahead of Plato. Into sector 2, and Cook continues his blistering first lap and takes the lead from Jordan. Osborne picks up 12th from Moffat. As they cross the line to complete the first lap, it’s Cook from Jordan, Plato, Chilton and Cammish.
Lap 2, Sutton moves off the back of the field into 28th. Butcher moves into 20th ahead of Turkington. Hamilton has a moment and drops two places into 27th. Over the line Hill has registered the fastest lap.
Lap 3, Bushell muscles his way past Morgan to take 15th place. O.Jackson gets through too, leaving Morgan in 17th. Neal passes Gornall to take 6th. Sutton moves up another place into 27th ahead of Hamilton.
Lap 4, Hill moves into 7th passing Gornall. Oliphant has picked up a couple of places moving into 12th in front of Osborne. Bushell also climbs into 14th, putting Moffat in 15th place. Boardley takes 23rd from Goff. O.Jackson moves into the points, passing Moffat for 15th. Crees takes 18th from Jelley. Sutton crosses the line in 26th, moving ahead of Proctor.
Lap 5, Gornall drops another two places, falling behind M.Jackson into 10th. Hamilton picks up a place to move ahead of Proctor into 27th. Gornall continues his fall, as he is passed by his teammate Thompson for 10th place.
Lap 6, Sutton makes an error and runs wide. As he struggles to recover, he is passed by Hamilton who moves into 26th. Plato gets ahead of Jordan and is up into 2nd. O.Jackson takes 14th place from Bushell.
Lap 7, Cammish moves up into 4th ahead of Chilton. O.Jackson picks up another place and takes 13th from Osborne. Cammish is up with Jordan and makes a move to overtake. Jordan’s car is unsettled, and with the loss of momentum Chilton is also able to get through, dropping Jordan to 5th. O.Jackson continues his strong lap taking 12th from Oliphant. Boardley falls behind Goff into 24th.
Lap 8, Hill gets ahead of Neal and takes 6th. Oliphant makes an error and drops to 14th behind Osborne. Cammish takes a step closer to the front, taking 2nd place from Plato. Oliphant drops another place falling to 15th behind Bushell. O.Jackson moves into 11th ahead of Gornall, while Butcher takes 19th from Jelley.
Lap 9, Morgan moves up into a points place, taking 15th from Oliphant. Butcher also moves forward, passing Crees for 18th.
Lap 10, and Morgan has not appeared on the timing. It looks like he’s pulled into the pits. It’s unclear what is wrong, as the team look around the car. Eventually he is released, but he’s dropped to the back of the field. Gornall has passed O.Jackson for 11th. Rowbottom climbs to 23rd ahead of Boardley. Sutton drops to 27th behind Proctor.
Lap 11, Ingram manages to get past Neal into 7th. Turkington runs wide and opens the door for Neate to move into 20th. Moffat gets into a points place, taking 15th from Oliphant. Crees takes a trip across the grass, and drops two places into 21st as a result.
Lap 12, Ingram moves up another place into 6th ahead of Hill. Crees recovers and takes 20th from Turkington. Boardley makes an error and drops two places to 26th. Mid way through the lap, Ingram ticks off another place moving ahead of Jordan into 5th. Butcher is now knocking on the door of the points, moving into 16th ahead of Oliphant. Morgan moves off the back of the field with Smiley now running last.
Lap 13, Bushell moves into 13th, passing Osborne.
Lap 14, Hill takes 6th from Jordan. Butcher is into the points moving ahead of Moffat. Jelley moves into 17th ahead of Oliphant. Goff is up into 21st moving past Turkington. Proctor climbs two places into 23rd. Towards the end of the lap, Cammish moves into the lead passing Cook. O.Jackson climbs to 11th passing Gornall. Goff pulls into the pits with a puncture, and following a tyre change he has dropped to the back of the field.
Lap 15, Jordan and Hill continue their battle, with Jordan now up into 6th. Crees is slowing, and it looks like he’s lost power. He pulls over at the side of the track, and his race is over. Moffat takes 15th place from Butcher. Ingram is now just outside the podium places, moving up into 4th ahead of Chilton. Bushell is up into 12th passing Gornall.
Lap 16, final lap. O.Jackson is into the top ten, as he moves ahead of Thompson. Jelley is making an attempt to get into the points, as he takes 16th from Butcher. Neal climbs another place and is into 7th, passing Hill. Butcher drops to 18th behind Oliphant. Right at the line, Ingram snatches 3rd place from Plato.
The final order is:
1-Cammish, 2-Cook, 3-Ingram, 4-Plato, 5-Chilton, 6-Jordan, 7-Neal, 8-Hill, 9-M.Jackson, 10-O.Jackson.
Thompson, Bushell, Gornall, Osborne, Moffat round out the points places.
Then comes Jelley, Oliphant, Butcher, Neate, Turkington, Rowbottom, Hamilton, Proctor, Boardley, Sutton, Morgan, Goff, Smiley. DNF – Crees.
