No GT love I see....
Jamie Melo has a busy weekend. Maybe he can make a 2 for 2 this weekend? He's on pole for today's ALMS event in Houston and if the current streak that the Ferrari 430 is having holds up, I wouldn't be suprised if they dominated both events, the cars have been JUST THAT GOOD.
2 wins, 1 second, 2 poles, not bad for a BRAND NEW car.
I hope LNT can take the challenge too them, they ran well at Istanbul, but I feel the Panoz is somewhat in its element in Spa, a fast track with mostly fast corners and a couple of very SLOW ones. That in effect lense itself to the layout of Spa very well with that thumping V8 and good low-end torque. Fast cars are rewarded here and I expect even the top Porsche teams to struggle if they can't match the outright pace set by these 2 cars and even the TVR which finished well here last year for LNT.
* After just seeing the results of the first open practice, its encouraging...
LNT up finished 5th, but as expected a Ferrari 430 lead practice a blistering 2+ seconds faster than the Marc Lieb driven Porsche, with Tim Sugden at the wheel.
Post more lata, got to rest...
