Unfortunately none of the current Porsche models (either road or racing) seems suited for the 2020 rules.
Increasing the width of the cockpit of the 919, would result in a new monocoque, which would basically a brand new car.
A modified 935 would not stand a chance against the purpose build Glickenhaus and the 917-design is just a wet dream for all Le Mans enthusiast - it will not happen as downforce vs. drag demands has changed since the 70's (mainly because of fewer straight kilometers).
918 is too old and would not have any marketing value any longer.
So all in all, it sounds like Porsche would need to design an LMh or LMDh from scratch*

*LMDh, as scratch as possible since it will be using a stock chassis.
