Why not? These would teach no more or less than a Swift. Decidedly cheaper than a BMW Mini - which I didn't mind because they needed proper skill to drive fast.
Mostly what an entry level one make series needs to be is enjoyable and affordable.
The lifecycle on a one-make production vehicle seems be about 3 - 4 years before the next big thing comes along.
The other thing it needs to have is cheap parts
The fact that they've been able to entice a good handful of folks into the series is great.
I get the feeling that a few of the old boys get sniffy because they have too many vowels in the manufactures name
