I remember reading somewhere that the BTCC guys found that belts could stretch at high rpm (not permanently) thereby altering the cam timing and losing them a few bhp! I prefer chains from a reliability point of view - but then I used to be a very-nervous-daily-cam-belt-checking Hart pilot!
