Since you live in Austin fjn356 I'd say you catch a flight to Brussels (probably you need a stopover in NY/Washington/Houston/Dallas/...) or straight to Paris (I guess that connection exists). Belgian national airliner is Brussels Airlines so maybe you can check that one. Usually their prices are not cheap but still affordable .
Indeed, renting a car is the best option to get to the track and also to the hotel. Yet you will find only just a few hotels with a free room within a radius of 20 km of the track, so hurry up with booking.

American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Jet Airways approaching Brussels Airport - but I beleave not daily. The big airports of Paris and Frankfurt/Main are intercontinental flight hubs, also the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol...
