NASCAR Euro driver killed in Philippines: Former NASCAR Whelen Euro Series driver Ferdinand "Enzo" Pastor was shot and killed Thursday night in Quezon City, Philippines. Pastor was the first Filipino driver in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, finishing sixth in the series standings in 2013. According to reports, the 32-year-old was traveling to Pampanga for the Asian V8 Championship, a stock-car race for drivers from the Asia-Pacific area. The incident occurred when Pastor was driving a truck carrying his race car to Clark International Speedway in Pampanga. Paulo Salazar, Pastor's assistant who was also injured in the shooting, said they stopped at a traffic light when a masked man approached the vehicle and began shooting. Pastor was struck in the head, neck and arm, and died after being transported to the hospital. According to the report, police investigators ruled out robbery since none of Pastor's personal belongings were stolen during the incident. They are still trying to determine if the shooting was related to racing.(
