It went away because it was stupid! Or at least the way they tried to do it was.
The safety thing was not really the issue. That’s like that banning of Christmas stories.
The main problem is that we’ve got a handle on how things work now. Tyres, aero, etc…
Not that I’m against a ban of pits to car radio. Let the person who knows how to boringly save the tyres without the engineer telling them win.
