I agree with you both....
If you've always been near the bottom of the F1 pile, you probably have to maintain the hope that you can still get a half-decent drive. For the Chiltons and Ericcsons of this world, that's pretty much a forlorn hope in the absence of megabucks like Maldonado. For those who've 'been there, done it and got the t-shirt', once your value begins to drop, then a top LMP1 drive must be a sensible option. I mean even Raikkonen might still get a seat - with Tracey Krohn, perhaps.....?
