I recently visited Las Vegas and whilst there decided to try and find the site of the Las Vegas Grands Prix held in 1981-82.
As the circuit was laid out in the car park of Caesars Palace I decided to investigate there first, but couldn't find a car park big enough to set out a GP circuit! It's highly likely that the car park has since been built on - does anyone know if this is the case?
I asked around but nobody seemed to know what I was talking about, apart from a taxi driver who thought it might have been the site of what is now the Rio Hotel. However this seems quite a way from Caesars Palace, over Interstate 15. I'd be interested to know if anybody has any details on where this somewhat anomalous circuit actually was located?
