gt, I go to Long Beach every year and didn't think the engines were any quieter. On Friday and Saturday, I sat on the Start/Finish line. The only thing about the cars I noticed that were different was the popping sound during shifting was absent this year. The S/F line is a shifting point and is normally a very loud place to sit.
I sat in Grandstand 6 on Sunday. That is really the place to sit. You can see if the pass is made at turn #1 and then you can see them come back around from the Aquarium side.
