Hmmm. According to Autopsport.com:
The timming said Scott won it by 0.0010 of a second but close inspection of the videotape revealed Helio won it by a whisker so the timing accounts were reversed and Helio won it by 0.0010....

Who is kidding who? Call it a dead heat Brian but don't play silly games with us. Did Helio get the call because the IRL was worried about the kickback from the qualifying DQ decision?

Along with the Spa (F1) decision officials are simply doing things beyond belief. Motor racing may be a business not a sport in many respects but if it loses it's definition as a sporting contest it will die as an entertainment.

As long as it is governed by commonsense sporting decisions it will survive because it will be viewed as a sporting contest but it will not survive if it loses it's 'sporting' common sense. Cynicism will destroy it. F1 took a huge knock on Sunday and Tony, Brian et al had better be careful or they will destroy everything they have got.
Some may argue what they have isn't much but if the Indy 500 and its acssciates wwere brought into disrepute it could kill open wheel racing in North America. Forever.
