The DBA was in the same category as the Pilbeams at Sebring, but it runs in the same category with the Domes, Courage, Durango, etc. at Estoril....

Why????

Different engine???

Is it heavier than the Pilbeams and Luccini's???

Any answers would be most appreciated....we get almost no news at all on FIA-SCC racing in the States...

Just wondering...
No- the DBA will be the same as it was at Sebring. Basically the 2 prototype classes for FIASSC are slightly different to the ACO/ALMS ones- closer to the old Grand-Am SRP1 & SRP2 (remember the Lucchini turned up at Daytona)

SR1 is pretty much equivalent to LMP900- 900kg minimum and 6-litre maximum engine size (or 4-litre turbo)

SR2 is 720kg minimum and 3-litre 6-cylinder engine maximum

Therefore, LMP675 cars like the DBA or MG don't really fit into either FIA class, but they are now able to run in SR1 (think this was first introduced last year?) against the 900kg cars.

A lot of the older LMP675's like the original version of the Pilbeam or the Lola B2K/40 were basically pure SR2 cars anyway, (although they sometimes ran larger 3.4 litre versions of the Nissan V6 in ACO/ALMS races) so could run in SR2
