How about a SURPRISE winner in '05
Every year it seems, and for whatever reason, there is at least one surprise winner. 2004, it was Trulli and in 2003, Fisi. Who in '05? I wouldn't classify Button or Webber as surprises, if they manage, Heidfeld, Alonso, Fisi hmmmm, maybe, maybe not. Sato should have a shot, I reckon as does Alonso and Fisi.....
Hey it's F1, isn't it?..... I'm gonna stick my neck way, way out and say one of the Saubers. JV or Massa. |

Jacques Villeneuve. I hope he wins a race anyway - would be great for Sauber to boot!

Any driver at Minardi or Jordan, and a new sporting regulation introduced whereby only cars in teams whose names begin with M or J are allowed to score victories and whose drivers are not Columbian or Finnish.

I am yet to be convinced by his talents so I nominate Mark Webber.

I really would be surprised if JV wins a race next year. Sato would only be a moderate surprise, as would Fisichella or Alonso.

Yes, Jacques or Coulthard - although, as much as I like DC, if he couldn't get a MacLaren across the line last year, what hope a slightly modified Jaguar this year?

I'd love to see Heidfeld win a race if he gets the Williams drive, I really would.

I'm going with Schumacher... er, Ralf that is!
Just when we have him dead and buried, he finds a way to pull one off! Will have to see if that Toyota is any good though... |
