Richy888 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BARC SE Tin Tops Regulations

Hi,

Instead of spending £k's getting the 1.3 rebuilt to 130bhp I'm going down the route of putting a 2.0 zetec in with omex management and maybe throttle bodies. According to the regulations I'll move up from T5 to T4 is this right? I'm not really fussed about classes I just want to go racing and be in a car that can be competitive and I can have some good racing.

Thank you,

Rich

Who knows, 2010 regs still aren't out yet! I'd of thought it would put you up to T3 though if you are talking about the BARC SEC one.

Hi Rich, yes you would be T3 but if your putting that engine in the Ka then you would get punted into T2 with some very fast competition!

Hey Dom. I'll be at Brands Saturday but not racing unfortunately as money stopped me having the engine ready for this year so will be prepparing for next year now

So will it be T2 or T3 with the 2000 zetec in the car?

a 2000 zetec in the CORRECT car for it would be class T3, if you have put it in a car which it wasnt origonally fitted to then you go in T2

It will be t2 as i'm pretty sure Ford never made a 2litre Ka!. You can still come out to play later this year if your ready - as it's only a series anyway so you dont get 'proper' points. I'm at Brands on sat so feel free to pop over and say hi.

Thats a very good point Dom...you don't have to do the whole year, if the car is ready later in the season come out to play!
