Wilson @ 888
Just looking at 888 website in the workshop at it hard to make out but looks like the 65 Car has already got Wilsons name on the window. The website hasn't add his name to there driver listing. But it is an interesting picture.

Doesnt that picture look like an AU Falcon, not a BA?
The other car looks like it is stickered "Longhurst" too... |

This is an interesting piece on 888 uk site.
Customer Teams Having proven its ability to design and develop winning race cars under its works banner, Triple Eight also offers its expertise and technical resources to other motorsport teams. For 2002, Triple Eight embarked on a customer assistance programme with Barwell Motorsport who havel entered two Vauxhall Astra Coupes in BTCC engineered and built by Triple Eight. |

I thought it was odd that 888 actually sold Barwell 2 brand new chassis, and retained the 1 season old cars for their own use. Perhaps they got a good price for them?
I wonder too now that Laurent Aiello has signed for Opel in the DTM, whether Ludovic Lacroix will now follow him there... meaning he will not have further input into the 888 Falcon in 2004.. As for car numbers, I dont know why they have such high numbers anyway. The team finished 10th (Radisich) and 24th (Canto) which would put them at worst in the teens for car numbers... |
