Hopefully someone will brief them on actual driving and say gear gear changes. The number of modern car movies that are made simply laughable with shots of drivers red lining and then changing down again and mysteriously accelerating away (rather than actually blowing the MTF to pieces). How i dream for a 'gone in 60 seconds' Ford Kent engine that you could never blow up by missing a gear or over-revving !

*Oh joy now I get to count how many gear shifts appear the film.*
I'll need to see how this pans out. This can be the most amazing film of all time or the worst flop of the year. You know what would make a good game based movie that uses cars? Driver. Have Tanner and Jones romping around the world chasing after Jericho in an old Dodge Challenger. That would be amazing. |

Dear god, this has bad news written all over it.
If EA were going plan a film based off a game then why didn't they choose something infinitly more interesting like Assassin's Creed or Dead Space? You know, something that actually has a story and would be fairly interesting to see in the cinema, rather than a film which will probably be exactly the same as Fast and the Furious but without Vin Diesel's shiny head. We'll be having a Call of Duty movie next, good christ no! |

No video games should be converted to cinema. Especially ones that already have a story in place, it just doesn't work. At least with NFS, a story can be made entirely from scratch.
This will not save it from being monumentally bad of course. The Fast And The Furious springs to mind. |

Some stories are better told as a game. Like the Half-Life series, for example.
But games that don't even have a story? Why bother? It's just like slapping Lotus on a Lola! |

Need For Speed is no longer about modified shopping cars. Its about Supercars and Hypercars, so expect this to be the cinematic version of Pistonheads of Evo Magazine.
