No, you saw it right. Quite bizarre race. Haberfeld started at the back and finished 5th too.

He is one of the best drivers in the F3000 series.

But what is bringing the future for Bas?
Now he has a sponsor (Bastos) perhaps he can test a F1 car.

Or will he drive for Anderlecht in the new Grandprix series for footballteams?
Or will he stay with the KTR team?

Does anyone knows more?

Yes, a great drive from Bas Leinders. But unlucky again. The reason he started from the pitlane was that the starter-motor did not work. Deserved maybe more this season?

He definetly deserves a shot at F1. Maybe bastos can help him, or maybe a belgian bank like KBC can help him to get into F1. They have just taken over the bank who has put up the money for Thomas Enge at Prost Grand Prix. And if then Belgacom (communication giant) can give a push he will be in F1.
And for Premier 1, first wait and see if that will happen.
