Kwik should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
help me sprint !!

i havent made many posts here, and if you see to the single seater section you may find a little project thread... well, it was going to be a track car, but then i saw hill climbing and WOW it looks fun...

i have a few questions though, i see the safety rules are tight, how much would all the safety gear cost? (as in the stuff i would wear) obviously that will be legal..

where would i race? i like in south east london (bexley) and i know there a few uphill races up north, but im not sure about my "local" track... a link to the club would be a godsend

im thinking along the lines of a single seater, and i know the different classes are in CC, which is the most competitive class for a single seater?

thanks for all the help you can offer and if by any chance anyone is near bexley for when i start who can help, that would be fantastic

thanks
chris

Hi

Have a look at this link - http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/m...s%20Venues.pdf

It's the MSA Blue Book with all MSA registered sprint and hillclimb venues.

Rather than pick the club that sounds nearest to you, I'd search for championships around you instead - you may find a better match to venues then.

Have you considered the road going classes? They are usually very competitive, and you can drive your race car to and from the venue too. It'll give you a chance to see where you're at. Plus, a years time in the paddock in those classes and you will be able to talk to the rest of the drivers and really get an idea of what type of car will grab you for the next year - rather than plumping for a choice now and then in a year finding out it was wrong!

Chris

Have a look at www.hillclimbandsprint.co.uk which might answer some of your questions.
