Possible sponsorship for Tagliani
Hello everyone,
The following site is claiming Taglianni's team is working on a dual sponsorship deal which would make much sense. It would include both the SAQ (Province of Québec - Canada) and Aussie Vinyards which would assure his participation on a team next year. SAQ is the sole selling point for all bottled wines from abroad in the province and has an increasing market for Australian wine (which I love). Tagliani would then be the ideal spoksperson to generate more sales and make both sponsors happy. What is funny is that the article clearly states that this "deal" was not sparked by Team Australia and that if it goes through he will have the luxary of choosing which team he wants to drive for. If this happens Mr. Gore will surely eat his shirt. I suspect if the deal does happen there will be a deal for him in Team Austrailia and he will become a new favorite for the Gore-Walker camp. How things change... http://www.monvolant.ca/article/2006.../1002/CPSPORTS |

Tagliani will probably not be at Team Australia next year. |

I was at the LCBO the other day and couldn't find any wines from Aussie Vineyards, manager didn't even have any showing in the system.

One way or another he should keep his place in the series, which is good news overall.

Question. What is Aussie Vineyards market focus? Are they trying to sell wines in the States? If so wouldn't it make sense for them to possibly employ an american driver alongside an australian one?
Having said that I am happy to see that Tag has a strong shot to stay in the series. I would like to see him back at Rocketsports alongside Dominguez. |
