British Eurosport should lose the contract. Let ITV have it, have the F3000 race continue straight after the F1 qualifying. At leasts ITV's International Motorsport programme is good quality which is more than can be said for Eurosport, the only good point is Martin Haven, he actually does a good job, but the rest is pretty shabby if u ask me.

Do you want the rest of Europe to lose the chance to watch F3000? Or do you expect both companies to pay for the F3000 TV rights?

That would be FOM, the company owned by Bernie Ecclestone

To be honest, I dont care if the rest of Europe loses their TV coverage or not, if ITV took over the UK's it would be a lot better for us. If u lose your coverage then thats ur problem, not the UK's.

ITV are getting F3000 coverage - that's the good news!

The bad news? Guess who will be "presenting" it (ahem) : Beverly Turner I expect we'll see little coverage of the races and more of her taking the drivers "shopping" and flashing her breasts as that's all she seems to do anyway!

Thats a pathetic view. I regard myself as a European and would like to think that all my fellow citizens should be be able to see anything I can. ITV HAVE been covering F3000 since they got the F1 contract.I think it may be a condition of that contract. They are certainly not going to improve coverage as there is no interest in the formula to justify it.

Well I dont regard myself as a European, I regard myself as a British citizen, and like most other people when the time comes I will be voting for the Pound and not the Euro. As for ITV covering F3000, yes they have but only since 2001, not before. Also they show delayed coverage, now if they were to extend the Saturday qualifying programme and into the F3000 race that would make it even better.

As for their being no intrest in the formula, the latest veiwing figures have been averaging 1.5 million, now if that was LIVE I think that would jump to 2 million quite easily. My views are not pathetic, u can have ur point of view of course, but so can i. Eurosport has screwed up one too many times, just how many times has their Live coveraged been cancelled and we have had to watch it 4hrs later, because Tennis or Moto GP is on?!?! I can think of a fair few.

Also why the hell would it be in ITV's contract that they have to cover F3000? Its like saying that the BTCC programme they have also has to cover the Porsche Carerra cup and Tuscan challenge, because its also part of the support package!

We will leave politics for another forum, but I suggest you find out the viewing figures for 'Nash Bridges'!! If they wont move 'Stars in their Eyes' for F1 qualifying......

Not for Friday qualifying they wont no. But Ive looked in the back of this weeks AUTOSPORT mag and the Saturday qualifying is LIVE, as is the race, now if only would carry on the show and cover the F3000 after the Saturday qualifying. I dont have any problem with u, and I dont wish to argue either. So I will also drop the politics.

Lets just agree to disagree yeah?

Well Im taking AUTOSPORT's word over the Radio times myself. After all, Autosport goes to Press on Wedensday, and Radio Times, Saturday? (i doubt whether it would be sunday). Autosport is more up to date.

ITV have covered F3000 since 1996 (a year before the started showing F1), and yes it's part of the F1 contract that they show it.

Incidentally, their touring car contract also covers all those support races...

ITV's F3000 coverage peaked at 1.5 million two years ago when Justin Wilson was leading the championship, but when there isn't a British driver doing well they only get 1 million - that's lower than F1 Qualifying, On The Ball, Nash Bridges or the Saturday afternoon repeat of Millionaire.

As for F1, you should consider yourself lucky that the race is live, because no way is it gpoing to get an audience of 16 million (which is what Coronation Street had last Sunday).
