adamp_uk should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Will ITV advertise the BTCC and will they be billing any live events next season?

Will ITV be making the BTCC a whole lot better or will they turn into the BBC and show the races up to a month after the actual event and the eratic scheduling.

With the BTCC following F1, There could/should be furthewr expansion of the BTCC, eventually turning production back to NSC.

your opinions

The coverage will be shown the Saturday following each race meeting, not the 2 or 3 week delay we saw last year. There's no provision for any live coverage - in fact Richard West has said that he doesn't want live coverage (at least not at this stage).

I would think that ITV will definatly make the most of advertising the series, I would also expect to see some 'The BTCC sponsored by....' advertising too.

Heres a question, If BBC had kept the BTCC, would they have has some minor TV Celeb mentioning it on that advert for BBC sport?

Me thinks not

Might get a mention at the end of the F1 coverage like they do with the football(well, the 7 that come on after qualifying) That would be good because it might get some more casual fans (ie those that just watch f1) to stay and watch the BTCC too, they won't even have to change the channel.

AFAIK not all are. There's one or two in Scotland that won't have coverage.

I could be wrong, but the last thing I read in Motorsport News is theres 3 ITV regions without coverage. What they are, I forget...

Hey, watch it with the 'old man might watch it' bit!

If you think about this logically, it is in ITV's interest's to promote the series. The higher the viewing figures, the more they can charge to advertise and increase their revenue. Simple innit?

I would have thought there would be adverts for it midweek, like F1 gets. Obviously, it's goin to have its own programme so, you can sell it more as a package compared to it being part of Grandstand last year. Expect nice intro screens etc too (hopefully). I think it will get more viewers than it did on BBC becuase it is an individual prog and is following the F1.

Will we see the old graphics (the computer animated grids, cars, driver pics when there's an in-car shot)??
