Hadn't realised that its been 5 years since Will passed away. It only seems like a few months ago that I was chatting to him at Croft during a BTCC weekend.

It's still a bit shocking. One of the greats from a Golden era of British Tin Tops. Don't think I'll ever forget the in car footage of an immensely frustrated John Cleland desperately trying to force will into a mistake. Lap after lap Will fended John off until John screamed at the top of his voice "I'M 'AVING YOU HOY"!

met him on a couple of occasions when i was a little one. always remember him and the days i met him. crackin racer and a truely nice guy. will always be remembered!

I met Will in 98 when the profile of the team had increased with Mansell on board, Will was very loyal to his employers especially Ford when at the end of 98 felt hard done by when not offered a drive for 99.
5 years is just way too quick and I was only watching the 98 review last week which seemed like 2 years ago, His drive at Arena in 99 in the laguna underlined his talent especially at Silverstone that year. |
