Thats a great effort by Brian Vickers to snare pole at Michigan by 3 tenths... Marcos Ambrose qualified in P39

10 laps to go in Nationwide race... Think Carl Edwards has this one, leading from Tony Stewart in his last NNS race for Joe Gibbs - Marcos Ambrose 12th...

It would have been better if AMBROSE had a top 10 result. Does Ambrose just not have a good car or is it the driver. If Ambrose simply isnt good enough on ovals in 2 or so years practice then I would think that he should look at other forms of road racing circuits. Im sure that he would be an instant success in LeMans.

settle down monaroCountry - the top 5 finishes are all cup drivers from "good cup teams" .... ambrose is getting better & better on the ovals & is consistently finishing top 15 on the lead lap - usually in the top 5 of "nationwide drivers" ....

and given that some of the other guys out there have grown up on dirt and concrete ovals, not road courses, they have 10 years experience on Marcos

I think he's doing very well indeed, as has been said - there are people out there who were born on ovals, where Marcos is a newbie and is getting better every time.

I guess Carl Edwards likes Michigan - badluck for Marcos Ambrose having his engine troubles, he's gone from hero to zero in 1 week... that is motor-racing!
