V8's Spoiler - Driving over the gear in pit lane?

OK, this is a legit question and not a sledge on any one, but since when have you not got a penalty (drive through) for hitting any of the gear in pit lane. I know it would have only made his day worse, but I thought Tander should have been given a drive through for hitting that wheel.

Or am I totally out of touch?

Cheers

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I could be wrong, but in previous years I thought if you hit pit gear you did get a drive through. But then again Holden does run VE$A and the officals.

The pit board is classed as 'gear' yet they hit that?

I think you'll find the penalty is if any of said gear enters the fast lane (which his wheel didn't, it just spun around on the spot)

In recent times, there have been other cars who have hit a different teams gear and not been given a penalty....

A pit board is a bit different to a tyre.

I am still suprised that there was no drive through

What about the gamesmanship from 888 by putting their tyres out when no car was pitting for another lap? That forced the awkward line for Tander.
Nothing in any of it.
