In case anyone was wondering, there are no marshal car passes for this meeting. If anyone has any problems getting in then please give me a ring on the day and I will get it sorted.

Therefore you cannot tell which post you are on through lack of car passes!

See you at the weekend.

So, do we all park outside the circuit or all park on the pit straight prior to sign on?

I would suggest the pit straight.

Alternatively if someone would like to get a copy of the allocation sheet from me on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning they could point people in the right direction. Any offers?

Fay, In that case can a message be given to Circuit Security that all marshals should be allowed circuit access. Otherwise tempers may? get a little frayed at the entrance. Failing that, as you suggested, can a list be held at the circuit entrance and those marshals that need to bring their car into the circuit are directed to?

According to the instructions all marshals are parking inside and not in the public car park anyway so everyone needs to get past the main entrance

Given the number of entries needing paddock space and the fact that that area is set aside for the Historic Road Sports & Guards SR paddock that probably wouldn't be appreciated.

That was an enjoyable, but very cold, two days. Quite quiet weekend for me as I.O. on post 21 with a good bunch of fellow marshals. Some lovely cars out there being driven as they should be (well, apart from Judy Lyons being a very slow mobile chichane in her Lola. We think she was lapped 8 times during the 20 minute race! )

I hope the driver of the Classic Clubmans who crashed at Post 14 is OK and that the owners of the two Lotus Cortinas that had BIG offs manage to get back on the track later this season.

I am very pleased to report that Clubmans driver came to collect his motorhome from the circuit yesterday morning. Very stiff and bruised but no other damage. I would like to say very well done to the guys on Post 14 who dealt with a very scary looking incident very well.

Also thanks to the guys on Post 12 for their company over the weekend.

I've seen marshals driving to post faster than that!

Thanks to all those on eleven who certainly burnt a few calories on the Saturday. I hope those down at nine who were kept busy with two near enough identical incidents on the saturday are suitably rested and recovered!

I like Judy, she always has time to wave thanks when you blue flag her, and that is quite often. She also always waves to all the marshals at the end of the race, unlike some of the miserable beggars.

And I don't blame her for not going too fast, Thruxton always used to terrify me back in the olden days when I was racing .

She was lapped seven times in the second race. Assuming that my lap chart is accurate (which is debatable, and I should point out that I wasn't marshalling this weekend), there were a couple of occasions during the race where for each lap Judy Lyons completed, Michael Lyons did two.
