Unbelievable. Fancy doing that!!
A good sign that the racing is different every weekend, for the punter they get to go to a race meeting & not know who will win Amazing! |

At this rate Aaren Russel should pick up his first race win some time after the Gold Coast event!
Good to see a lot of different winners. |

Its now 9 winners from 11 races... Amazing!
And Mr Skaife suggested in the cutdown broadcast that Erebus is the only team yet to grace a podium. |

Agreed. Tim's a great bloke. Deserved far better results than what's on paper for the last few seasons.
Many had thought he'd peaked in 2012, being the top-placed non-FPR/Triple Eight driver. The year with the contankerous Erebus and their Mercs didn't help, neither did a couple of seasons as a third/fourth-string Walkinshaw driver. Many have gone on to succeed after doing time in the Paul Morris School of Hard Knocks, and Tim's no exception. |

He was interviewed on SEN on Sunday morning and he sounded that rather than having a burden removed by winning, by winning he actually created a burden to back it up with more wins.
Hopefully the Sunday result showed himself what he can do. |

Chaz Mostert Craig Lowndes Fabian Coulthard Garth Tander James Courtney Jamie Whincup Mark Winterbottom Michael Caruso Nick Percat Scott McLaughlin Scott Pye Shane van Gisbergen Tim Slade Will Davison While 12 have yet to make it.. Aaren Russell Andre Heimgartner Cameron Waters Chris Pither Dale Wood David Reynolds James Moffat Jason Bright Lee Holdsworth Rick Kelly Tim Blanchard Todd Kelly Some biggish names there who might have been expected to trouble the scorer more than they have... |

Impressive, though, and it does seem genuine competitiveness rather than any manufactured scenarios. Have the top few who've dominated the last few years lost a bit, or have the others caught up. Either way, it's very welcome. |

An impressive stat, although it is starting to look a little rigged to be honest.

13 races complete, 14 drivers have had their feet on the podium...
Chaz Mostert Craig Lowndes Fabian Coulthard Garth Tander James Courtney Jamie Whincup Mark Winterbottom Michael Caruso Nick Percat Scott McLaughlin Scott Pye Shane Van Gisbergen Tim Slade Will Davison While 12 have still yet to make it.. Aaren Russell Andre Heimgartner Cameron Waters Chris Pither Dale Wood David Reynolds James Moffat Jason Bright Lee Holdsworth Rick Kelly Tim Blanchard Todd Kelly There are probably at least 4 people in that list that can/will get to the podium by season's end... A cracker of a championship! |

I haven't watched the races yet but have Nissan really made some huge inroads with their power? Isn't Darwin second longest straight on the calendar?

Championship will be a very interesting one, as no one has really stepped up and made a claim yet, unlike most years by this point.
SVG would be clear in the lead were it not for Symmons Plains R2, the penalty at Winton and the error in Hidden Valley R1 (but of course, that's racing!). Could we end up with a 2006-ish championship scenario, with many drivers in the mix, but no clear favourite. And as much as I'm loving the variety, I thought that the first half of the 2012 season was the best championship fight since....well, a very long time! |

Refer to 1995 Australian Super Touring Championship.
The whole field took turns at leading races... |

So you're saying that a different competition 21 years ago was allegedly rigged so therefore this year's VASC is too? I don't follow your logic - not having a go but what are you basing your theory on?
