Grosjean for being able to bundle up all of his luck and use it at the right time.

Looks like I picked the wrong wildcard option. Excellent job by Alan van der Merwe and the medical team.
For me, Sainz today. Always making progress and moves and an excellent first stint on the softs and well-won battle with his new team-mate. |

If I can't vote for him, I'll give Alan van der Merwe another namecheck. Otherwise tight call between Perez and Sainz. I'll go for Sainz for providing the best racing in a dull (!) GP......

Daniel Ricciardo... for saying what many were thinking... but didnt have the gravitas to say... that it was substantially morbid to keep replaying the Grosjean crash over and over and over from every camera, from every viewpoint when the extent of his injuries were not truly known.
Bring able to 'walk' away is different from the significant burns that seem to have shown up... plus concerns about ingesting fire or smoke or any other thing. |

We've had some great racing this season. In fact, this has been my favourite season in a while, particularly with the proliferation of older and unexpected tracks, but this was not a great race. It was always going to happen sooner or later, but Sainz definitely kept the interest.

I pondered this one for a while. As usual, Lewis Hamilton did what everyone is there to do, so perhaps it should be him. I don't understand the votes for Perez, who carried on for far too long after his engine had given up, potentially spreading oil all over the track. I would have liked to give it to Lando Norris but he was in front of his teammate due to Sainz's mechanical problem in quali. So it's Carlos Sainz for me.
Agreed, Alan van der Merwe was a driver who came to our notice, but the heroes of the Grosjean incident were the doctor and the marshal with the fire extinguisher. |

+1 for Alan van der Merwe.... but in terms of voteable options I went with Perez. Felt sorry for him after a great job in qualy and a fault free race until his engine issues thwarted justice.
Kudos to Sainz for a great drive from a poor grid spot, and I guess Albon who was in the right place at the right time to inherit a podium. |
