Who knows where he'll be if Heidfeld beats him.

I'd get some results first, Felipe, before you start hinting that you're better than the team.

That's if that is what he said.

That's exactly why Kimi chose to sign for McLaren

he did in fact say it, and i agree patrese, that is why kimi steered clear of farrari, and he only signed with mclaren when told he would be davids equal.

This guy is gonna replace Barrichello at Ferrari next year. Don't forget that Ferrari recommended him strongly to Sauber. And you'll see , he is gonna fight close quarters with Heidfeld this year.

It depends I would say. If he is too fast to be Schumacher's slave then he wont go to Ferrari.

As long as Ferrari carry on winning I'm not fussed but I'd prefer to see a Brasilian there.

Yeah, despite my comments on other threads, I'm with the majority of you: Massa will be in a Ferrari come '03...

I'd be waiting to see the results of Massa before starting to think he's going to Ferrari alongside TGF. Ferrari won't want a driver who crashes too often, is outpaced easily.

Even if Massa does have a contract, it doesn't mean he'll be going there next year. Ferrari do have an abundance of drivers waiting at their door for a drive.

Is it me or is Sauber becoming a feeder to the top teams?

Surely Peter Sauber must be getting off with all these drivers moving?

A feeder for Ferrari more like until Ron ruined that plan I guess a supply of Ferrari engines comes with certain conditions.

Is he? How do we know? He won, what...? The Italian F3000 title...? To me Massa is another case of hype. It's a trend that started with Button, continued with Raikkonen and now has passed to Massa. The media seem anxious to find a sucessor to MS. So far the only driver who has lived up to the hype is Montoya. Massa has done nothing yet, maybe he will, but let's wait and see.

Ferrari in 2003?

That'll be because Michael Schumacher is going to retire at the end of this season.

Massa is being a bit cocky saying, that he will only be at sauber for a year.
If he is at Sauber for one year it's more likly that he will be at Minardi in '03 rather than Ferrari in '03. (Minardi & Ferrari used for descriptive purposes only.)

Look at it in this light. The contract spells one year. If he does very well, he'd be snatched up by some other team. If he doesn't, Sauber would end the contract and find another driver. Either way, he would only be at Sauber for a year.

But if he lives up to what he promise, i would not hesitate to add him to my list of drivers i support. He has a mentality quite similar to Senna and Montoya. If he see's a gap, he'd go for it regardless of the odds. And this guy actually says that he'd be more than glad to die on the race track, and trust his fate. If he learns a thing or two from his idol Michael Schumacher, and incorporate it into his own style, he would be a pretty strong driver.
