Still no news!!
This would have to be the most frustrating silly season's that I can remember. At this stage we have only had 3 official releases, Ingall going to Ford, Prodrive and some Konica stuff. Correct me if I have forgotten anyone else. AVESCO is being very quiet, we've only heard from them about the Asia race, what about a statment on Project Blueprint. We haven't heard any official information on the aero tests, just a lot of apparently's, maybe's and could ofs. We haven't scene any new cars or teams besides SBR. Does anyone have any news on anything that might make me a bit excited.

Yeah sorry about those that I have missed, but I suppose not seeing any new cars and or liveries is getting to me the most. Look at F1, Cart and the IRL they all seem to be able to have new cars out in Jan, and most are building new chassis. At least Ford have to build a completely new car, where is Holden is just doing a face lift, or at least they can do one. If anyone knows anymore that I have missed let me know.

Never Fear , Just read in a forum on Conrod.com.au ( credit where credit is due and all that jazz).
APPARENTLY it was announced on Club 1 Site that the launch will NOW be the 19th due to "unforseen circumstances". Someone else suggested in the thread that the Unforseen Circumstances could be related to the Aero Tests, not having been signed off by both parties until recently. This could be a valid reason and could also explain why there hasnt been much from some of the other teams. Although Personally I cant see why they cannot mock up a Show / road car for a Launch and then carry on preparing the race versions. I hope this answers your question Scott. |

Not sure we got the sponsors at the Team Dynamic Launch only the base color scheme but its better than nothing.
Is it true that the DJR Team will be in different colors ? |

God Knows A Tottally Black DJR Falcon would be better than the Dumb job currently on the cars. Maybe they should take a leaf out of Tim Slako's Book.

Thanx Tool Man for your information. It looks like there's going to be a very public test session at the AGP. As for the DJR livery, in the last v8 round last year Mark Oastler said that DJR are going for a completely new look. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen. They ought to, there paint scheme has never looked any good.

I remember it being said as well that DJR were getting a new colourscheme, doesn't mean though that they have different sponsers.

Garry Rogers needs a new look don't you think. There paint scheme is looking very tired now. If anyone is interested there is a great website at www.segalmedia.com.au They have the press releases for DJR, Ford Racing, Supercheap and Glenn Seton/Prodrive. It has photo's from last year all Hi-res images. It definately bookmarking, some great pictures are there and it's gives the press releases out straight away.

Crash made mention in the 'Best and Worst paint job' thread about how good the mid-90s Valvoline colours where, like seen on the '95 BTCC Mondeo's, Walker Indycars and Mark Martin's NASCAR. They'd look pretty good i reckon.

The word on the street is that the DJR car will be a multi-colour spectacular, including white
BTW- To those Mexicans south of the borders, keep an eye out for Dick in the next few weeks, doing something "fantastic and mysterious" |

All depends on how it is used William. there has been a few multi coloured cars recently that might have looked a bit better with a bit of white in them instead of another colour.

That's true. I think I'll reserve judgement until I see the paint.

Yeah Richard Morks Rainbow Commodore would be a fine example, I dont think it had any white, except the colour of the drivers face of fear as all the others flew past. |
