Brand Motorsport

Has anybody heard anything more about Brand Motorsport running the two upcoming European events? I haven't heard anything since the announcement months ago.

Hopefully there will be 19 cars on those grids, and I'm curious as to who their driver might be. If I remember correctly, they claimed to be doing this as a way to get their feet wet in preparation for the 2004 IRL season, something which we found quite odd. But I trust that, once they see what it's all about, they'll certainly stick with CART.

I've heard nothign of this since, or of F3000 frontrunners Arden's plan to run occasional races, including the two European ones, before a full CART season in 2004. There are only 3 weeks until the EuroSpeedway race, so announcements will ahve to come pretty soon.

Personally I'm suspicious of Martin Kendrick, he seems to barely have his feet on the ground, has no professional racing experience, and is doing his deals very late. It could be another BC type project.

Arden seem more likely though, especially as they have signed Townsend Bell for their F3000 team, and Tomas Enge (who raced for them in the series last year) has no deal but is rumoured to still be in contact with tehir boss Christian Horner.
