corkholio should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lucky for the journalists...

...Geoff Boss is here to stay!

Quote:
“I actually had a couple of opportunities to go to the IRL but it just wasn’t for me. Doing only ovals... I think I’d go nuts. So it was one of those things where my allegiance and my heart was with CART, but I just didn’t have any opportunities.”
The article also seems to confirm the way Coyne is running is operation this year.

As much as they struggle, it's good to have them.

meh... Like him or not, Coyne is providing the necessary 18th and 19th cars for the grid. Agreed, good to have him.

Cheers to Boss!

He knows where his heart is.

And Coyne is vital to CART. He provides cars.

One thing I've heard the other driver say a couple of times about Boss is that he gets out of the way when the leaders need to pass. At least he isn't a hazard which is better than I can say about some other back markers in the past.

They've said he spends so much time getting out of the way that he completely ruins his own race... I have to believe it. He's actually won Indy Lites races you know? you'd think he'd be doing better...

Didn't he spend a good two years out of the cockpit?

Adding to the challenge, Boss was a tad rusty when he first strapped on a Champ Car. An Indy Lights regular from ‘97 to Y2K, he won the ‘99 Toronto race and earned several other podium spots but found himself at loose ends when the Lucas Place team he’d driven for closed its doors. Apart from two Indy Lights drives with Dorricott Racing in relief of the injured Jon Fogarty in ‘01, Boss hadn’t raced since the end of Y2K. Indeed, the closest he got to a race car last year was spending a weekend coaching his younger brother Peter in the Euro Formula 3000 series.
