Cheever back to two cars in 2004?
During the race coverage Eddie Cheever mentioned when interviewed that he was hoping to go back to two cars for next year (depending on sponsorship).
Question is, will he race himself again, or will someone else get that second seat? What do you think? I remember him saying, at the start of the season IIRC, that he would be interested in coming back once the Chevy engine got better, and now that it has, I reckon it could be enough for him to get back behind the wheel again. Got to wonder what would be best for the team though - him back racing or them bringing in a young talent instead? In any case, here's hoping they are able to go back to a two-car team |

Eddie said, a while ago now, that he was coming back next year. He took this year out to focus on MCT (and we all know how that ended). Since MCT isn't around anymore, he may very well come back...to be honest, I'd rather see Buddy Rice and Alex Barron in the two cars.

I hope we see Alex Barron in something next seaosn, something competitive. he and Buddy would make a good lineup, and Eddie has probably had his day as a driver. Also, he always planned to race the Indy 500, yet still there was only 1 car.

He had the second car ready to go on bump day, but no one wanted to bump anyone else from the field. It would have been a wasted effort to race anyway with the GenIII.
I like Cheever so i hope he races next year. |

I think he should try and get his team running properly instead of worrying about driving.
dont get me wrong he is a good driver but even though he has never officially retired he may have well as and enjoy running his own team with no hassles of thinking about driving. |
