YRM - Season 6 Preparation
Well, we are almost at the end of season 5, and about to start another season. Have you made plans? Are you going to do what you did last season, or try something different?
Are you going to be the make the leap to he front of the championship next season like Bomn did this season (from a very poor season 4 I might add)? Time to make preparations. Sleeper Cars: If you have sleeper cars, make sure you spend down to $50 million before seasons end (on engine only). However, Do not spend all of the money on engine, just down to 50 million. Making the step forward For those that fill out the survey, this weekend Bomn and I will respond with some answers. F3000 Teams Of the 2 leagues, this is the most important 1 to get right at the start of the season. So start planning your first 3/4 races and the upgrades now Season 7 Preparation "Are you mad Wrex, we have'nt started season 6 yet" It should be noted that both Bomn and myself started with 700PS engines this season and $50 million or less! Any team created today (Sunny boy), and starting season 6 with sunnyboy, will start with a better car than we did this season F3000 or both For those with a decision to make, here are some tips. Most of us are here to win, not do a Sauber and make up the numbers. By garaging all your current cars now (and starting new ones as above) they will be strong enough to challenge for the outright F1 championship in Season 7. So dont give up them, they are gold. Unless your sleepers are going to end season 5 with over 900PS and $50+ million, your going to struggle. However, by running 4 or 5 F3000 cars instead of F1 cars, you can run 4 different strats, and have a real shot at the F3000 championship and be eligable for the Rookie of the year title. If you have any questions or commments, let me know PS the above post is based on the rules not changing again of course |

Here's a tip for anyone wanting to run in F3000 next season.
You can create your new yahoo accounts now and have them ready to get the new cars after the announcement on wednesday. Just incase yahoo is on a go slow when you go to register. |

Just so everyone is clear - Bomn is saying you can open your YAHOO Account only, you cant register your F3000 cars yet until the new season begins.

In where BARrouette?
Btw, a good idea might be to subscribe to all threads (except the timing thread) so when something comes up, you are notified Welcome back BAR, you may have a bit of info to read to catch up, but its worth it. Season 6 will be bigger than ever How many cars are you running next season? F1? F3000? |

How much motor can you carry over between seasons? Is it a % of what you ended last season with, or is there some minimum threshold or something??

90% is the estimated amount.
Shiny, not taking the rookie F3000 only option? Also, dont forget to move your scratch cars to the main league |

What happens to the Super cars dropping down to F3000 under the `R' rule?
Surely these are already up and running? |

I am not going F3000 only, I am going to try to run a similar campaign to last year with a few changes in tactics... And I am going to move my cars over in a few minutes! |

F3000 cars are cars created AFTER the start of the first race of the new season. All other cars are F1 or sleepers. |

Correct - Rookies can run unlimted F3000 cars (those created on Wednesday or after). However they can only run F3000 cars. All others can be put as sleepers for a kick ass team in season 7
The alternative it they can run 2 F3000, and unlimited F1 cars, but they are not eligable for the Rookie championship. And yes, plenty of room for GT cars. |
