sgw2 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
OWRS response

http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/news_s...me=auto_racing

This appears to be the OWRS answer to the defection of Fernandez and possibly Rahal ...

Actually, Fernandez may have been influenced partially by the revelation that OWRS was trying to renegotiate. That story came out before he announced his decision. Enough doom & gloom already. Thanks.

Muzza should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hello, sgw2,

Actually Champ Car (and not OWRS; OWRS is the holding that controls Champ Car) reputedly contacted Toronto promotors (as well as those of other races) before the defection of Fernández Racing.

Cheers,

Muzza

hmmm, interesting. I guess that's all they can do given the circumstances. While it may resolve the problem of not having enough cars on th starting grid, it won't resolve the fallout with sponsors and within mexico...

Thx, I didn't know that. I thought it was new - but then I'm in the US, so Canadian press often has stuff we dont here. I guess this may have influenced Adrian. I'm still in shock. My last post I was praising the three amigos, not realizing they had apparantly set off a bomb inadvertantly.

With Robin Miller, who is on excellent terms with Bobby Rahal, saying what he is, and the hints from Mexican TV that the sponsors have pulled out from the Mexican races, its all too much too fast.

I think I'll just watch through Monday or Tuesday to see what happens. No point in making comments until events settle and things become a little clearer.

Agreed sgw2, and while I've been posting here that the facts don't bode well for the future, I guess I too should refrain from commenting until some of the dust settles. I hope to be proven wrong....
