The entry list will be posted to www.clubff1600.co.uk as soon as it is available. I doubt entries have even closed as yet.

I have to time my applications to perfection otherwise my passes get lost. If I apply to Donington any time other than the Monday prior to the meeting they get forgotten, the KoK Silverstone meeting my passes were left on the gate but noboody actually told me this and Mallory want the forms on the Monday two weeks prior to any meeting..I spend half my week chasing people up and so far the new MSV press office has not sent me a thing. Good job I learned the art of blag from my old man

Given their performances at the last Mallory race, I guess Hewitt and Wills will be the guys to beat?

You should add Stuart Kestenbaum to that as well as Jamie Morrow.
RR77/50-six Why don't you enter? Would be good for your Kok points. |

Here's a question for you Justin...if somebody were to start from scratch, absolutely zilch, no car nothing, how much do you think it would cost to mount a realistic assault on the SOM?

£8,000 for a good car (or £4,000 for an older chassis, RF87 etc). You'll always find a six grander but will also always spend £2,000+ on it.
£2,250 10 races / 6 tests £2,000 fuel, tyres, towing fuel etc. £1,500 engine rebuild damage? |

Never!
Yeah that sounds about right - about 5-6k for a realistic assault. You could prob get a car a bit cheaper than that - but as John said a good one will "owe you" about 8k. I only bought mine for 6, bet spent a lot on it since. Oh course the car will never really loose any money, as long as you don't break it in half or something! If you paid a team to do it it would cost a lot more, but its not too dear ( ) if you do it yourself like us. Are you thinking of having a go? Last edited by JustinDawkins; 12 May 2004 at 13:55. |
