As test driver that is...
Not bad for a driver who has only just finished a season in Formula Ford!! |

I'm definitely expecting Colin Brown and Lewis Hamilton to be official test drivers next. I mean, why bother with other forms of car racing at all, might just as well go from 100cc Karts to F1.

No more ridiculous than Kimi supposedly signing for a RACE SEAT with Sauber... apart from the fact that Kimi is 10x as good...
So.... where does this leave Dazzer Manning ? |

I suppose it all depends what the team wants the test driver to do. If it is merely to tool around under instructions so they can get info from their telemetry, then that is OK. If it is to provide feedback, that is another story. I think McLaren did the really smart thing by using fully qualified and experienced drivers these days because not only do they get feedback, but if one of their drivers is sick or injured, the test driver can take over. I mean they can't just run down the pitlane to Minardi and ask for the loan of a driver these days!!
