Knockhill

first off must congratulate Ian muir on wrapping up the BTRDA supermodified championship up near the north pole at knockhill. it was a shame that there was a poor entry at such a good circuit for any of my southern brothers and sisters it is worth the journey north (p.s. no passport needed for any of you illegal immigrants) personally not to good a weekend for me im sure there was a 3rd gear in there when i left home but it didnt want to play after practise . Never mind looks like ive a busy 2 weeks before ireland............Hello Queen now i know who you are.

Knockhill

Can someone please post results?

Unfortunately had to pack up early as a big-end decided to make a break for freedom through the block.

Still, the bottom end hadn't been touched since it left the factory in 1989, since when it's done 140,000 road miles, 2 seasons of Stock Hatch circuit racing and 5 years of Rallycross. Can't complain!!

Roy

P.S. Knockhill is a brilliant circuit - worth the drive!

Simon won the stock hatch A final. Followed by Rod then Ian. Matt won the Stock hatch B final, but he didn't come out and go on the back of the A final. I don't know why. I can not remember the car but the blue one no. 924 won the rally class. Phil got in the A final. He was well chuffed.
It was nice to meet and talk to you as well golfvanman.

That's pretty good going Roy! Hope you manage to get an engine sorted out for it soon (hopefully the replacement will be just as hard wearing!)

Firstly, a big thanks to all the marshals for there help, with out u the events would not run.

Well what a weekend!

As most of you will have noticed, my car sat in the pits all morning with some technical difficulties, until after lunch when we got the problem fixed. Cheers to everyone who helped out.

Even with the engine finally working, we still had more problems ahead with both an injector and sparkplug failing on the second heat.

So, with all the problems, i was finally glad to race and make the A final (even though i did finish last).

We will be back and strong for pembrey this coming weekend.

As one of the marshals at Knockhill on Saturday, I appreciate the kind words.. Also appreciated the fine racing you guys put on!! Even if one of you did try to flatten us on one of the marshals' posts! (a white Mini, can't recall name). (Also, the Golf driver who almost did likewise..!!)
Will be back for more next year, am sure.
Regards
David

they say you get closer to the action when you marshall, but i guess the two drivers in question pushed the limit of that statement a little to far, hope your close encounters of the supermodified kind doesn't deter you from returning . As said before we have no sport without you marshalls thanks for all who came and braved the fine scottish weather
