Indeed. My day yesterday was very much brightened by the tales on DSC of the 'parade' (some say, Charge!) into the city centre. Sounds like everyone is having fun out there.

The Coopers Ferrari(Coopers a South Australian Beer company), is a detuned version of the same car driven by Simonensen in the now defunct Nations Cup.
Where it was painted green.

The Ferrari 550 that was campaigned in the Nations cup series was also a 5.5ltr V12 If I remember rightly, one of the older specifcation Ferrari 550s. Its going very very well for one of the older generation Ferrari 550s IMO, especially as its outperforming the Weith Ferrari 550 which is a new 550, although the Coopers Racing 550 has 2 top line profesional drivers and as good as Wolfgang Kaufmann is hes not as fast as Brahbam or Simonsen IMO so that probably accounts as to why the Weith Ferrari 550 isnt doing quite as well as it could.

A little question, the Diablo that Bouchut raced, is the car the former Reiter one?

Is the Coopers 550 the car that Rafanelli used to run in the ALMS by any chance? I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that it had been sold to a team in Australia...

And race 3 is now over. Results from www.dailysportscar.com. Another win for the Cooper Racing Ferrari 550, after the DDO Saleen suffered a rear puncture whilst leading the race, the Labre Competition Viper finished in 2nd and the Force One racing viper in 3rd. JMB's Ferrari 360 won the GT2 class coming in a great 4th place overall, winning the GT3 class was the #73 Tech 9 Porsche. Looks like it was a intresting race.

Who's going to tell Kaufmann that he's not as fast as Brabham and Simonsen then? Are you Chris? I'd gladly introduce you, then hold your coat and step back!

lol, u can tell him. Although Im not exactly a small guy myself Malcom, dont worry about that. Anyway, the facts speak for themselves, look at what Brahbam has achieved in his career, then compare it to Kaufmann's CV, which would u say is more impressive? Not so sure about Simossen but hes no mean driver in the ETCC in recent years and is certainly as quick as Kaufmann if not faster.

The stopwatch tells him plainly enough. No need to rub his nose in it.

The Coopers car is the Rafanelli car, and it's not de-tuned. It was for Nations cup but now it's back to ALMS spec as raced by Raffanelli.

It's just had a paint job and a refresh here and there. A few gear ratio changes and a tickle in the right spots....
