what would you say?
in preperation for joining the fire truck team i decided to put my fire training to some good use.i selected an old slot car which was beyond repair as the victim.(i had removed the driver, albeit his head).i gave it a good dousing with some liquid, and put a match to it.within micro seconds the car was engulfed in a fireball, with plumes of black smoke from the tyres, and flames everywhere.with no hesitation i went in,and tackled the fire, and quickly had it under control.however not so pleased with my tom foolery was the next door neighbour as the smell of burning plastic had gone into their kitchen.try and explain, what you a grown adult was doing setting fire to a plastic racing car.......cos i could,nt

A true marshal.
Just keep an eye out for the rest of your life before it disappears. Regards Jim |

what would I say?
gentle soothing words as I step away from you
For true realism I'd have made sure you used an extinguisher to scale. |

Deny everything and ask the neighbours what sort of food they'd been burning in their kitchen!

It's much more fun practicing with real cars - let me know if you need any and I can give you some directions to a certain area of Liverpool where you can have as much practice as you like

My little 'un sets up marshals posts on his scalextric tracks - made from lego with lego workmen (the new ones - in orange) and x-wing pilots (orange again) manning them. They are equipped with lego fire extinguishers and radios too. Not bad for a five year old
It does slow down racing sessions though - any crashed cars have to be 'recovered' by the marshals rather than just plonked back on the track |
