I notice no Wild Cards, not even in WSS

Yeah no kidding, Rolfo didn't look too inspiring in Qatar.

I'm expecting the Ducati boys to be on the pace here. They were just astonishingly quick during the Philip Island Pirelli test. We'll see if that form holds true for the race weekend.

On a side note, lots of rumors regarding Neil Hodgson and the Yamah YZF (France) team.

Bayliss and Corser should be up there, but you can't rule Max out either.

Hodgson and Xaus on customer bikes? That could be enough to put any WSB front-runner off going to Grands Prix again - there's obviously no guarantee of a good ride when you come back.

How many top Aussie championship teams run Pirelli tyres? Is that why no wildcards will be out there?

That's my guess. Same thing would happen if they came to America. The factory teams here run Dunlops.

Most of our guys run dunlops aswell.

Last time I remember a wild card was Josh Brookes in 2004 in SuperSport...he won.

Our Superbike regulations are different to the WSB regs, so that accounts for no locals in the WSB races.

A shame no Supersport riders are competing though.

Time was when the regulars didn't have a hope against the local Aussies at the WSB round, particularly in the early days at Oran Park.

Even in the late 90s the likes of Steve Martin, Mark Willis & Craig Connell (where have them two gone?) were in amongst the top 10.

Maybe he's part of the one day squad.

My money is on Biaggi this weekend. I just have a feeling.

Personally I think Biaggi and Toseland will be the men to beat once again this weekend. It will be interesting to see if Corser, Haga, Kagayama etc can close the gap to the front 2 a little though, as has been said Toesland and Biaggi already have a bit of a gap back to Lanzi.

There we go then, Bayliss takes race one. Easy.

Toseland and Biaggi on the podium also.

Good race. Was a great three way until Corser's tyre got shagged.

Nice to see Bayliss bag a win. Toseland is looking really good. Race 2 looks like it was a cracker. Once again however, I will have to wait till Tuesday to watch the races.

Don't sound so bitter. I'm sure that Speed had to show the Replays of last year's mexico city first practice for the Arca series.

Instead of showing WSBK live.
