Lawnmower 12hr 2010
Hi Folks,
Just to keep you upto date, I should have the details of this years location for the 12hr this week. From what I can gather it may be(TBC) the same field as last year. Once I definately know I will send all of you an availalbilty form and other bits etc viae e-mail and as this will be our 10th year involved I am looking at getting polo shirts made up and will advise of the cost etc to you as I dont have the cash to pay for everyone(I wish I could. I will pay for the Sat night Buffet again though) I intend to keep a similar set up on the admin side ie meal out Friday night(optional all TBC etc) brekkei somewhere on Sat morning, Buffet Sat night and I will e-mail respective persons seperately ref supplying main Sat meal etc. We are struggling for radios this year and currently we only have 4. Any ideas would be welcomed. Untill I have the manning levels I have no idea how we are going to run the track etc. At present we have 60+ raffle prizes so everyone will get something even if it is a cold or mud fever!!! Will keep you all posted any ideas, improvements etc please let me know by PM on here or if you would like to come and marshal this unique event or by my e-mail(if you know it) dates for this year is: Jul31st-1st August Regards, Richard Sneader Chief Incident BLMRA 12hr |

This is something we keep saying we must do - but other things keep getting in the way.
Where is it? Have you thought about using scanners !!!? Seriously - We will be at Oulton for Gold Cup weekend, but Richard, if you grab me (metaphorically or literally, I don't mind), then I would be happy to donate something towards your Saturday night buffet in lieu of being there. Also serious - we use walkie-talkies to communicate when we are on different posts and I know that some Observers at Silverstone have previously used similar to communicate with their flaggies based miles away across the track. Might be worth looking into???? Shelagh Last edited by Shelagh; 7 May 2010 at 16:44. |

I am not sure as to the location, but have done this event the last 3 years.
Scanners i dont think will work in this situation... flaggies are not used in the normal way Each Lawnmower team provide a flaggie |

Good luck to him! |
