Deaths at the Centenary TT
My newspaper reports that one of those who died was a "steward" - I take that as 'marshal' - and a spectator. That's sad, esp. as the Centenary meeting had up to then not killed any riders, let alone anyone else.
I hope that those in the know will post tributes and the organisers will learn further about how people put themselves in harms way. John |

BBC Website:
A rider and two spectators have died in a crash during the senior race at the centenary Isle of Man TT meeting. The rider, named by race organisers as Marc Ramsbotham, 34, who was from Wymondham, Norfolk, died instantly. One spectator, Dean Adrian Jacob, 33, from Kidderminster, Worcs, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second, Gregory John Kenzig, 52, from Queensland, Australia was taken to Noble's Hospital, but died a short time later. Two other people were injured. Hilary Beryl Musson, 60, from Ballaugh, Isle of Man and Janice Ann Phillips, 50, from Ramsey, Isle of Man, were also involved in the incident. Ms Phillips' condition is described as stable while Ms Musson's was reported to be critical in a critical condition. Thoughts and prayers with all involved, marshals or not! |

Bummer.....
Hilary Musson was a TT competitor in the 1980s, as was her daughter Gail IIRC later - very nice people, I met them at the 1984 TT. Sincerest wishes for a full recovery, and sympathy to the famolies of all involved. Paul M |
