Yerrums/Oxley reinstated for 2002 Showroom Showdown
Interesting - the Yerrums/Oxley Mitsubishi Mirage has today (July 28 2003) been reinstated for last years Bathurst Race 5 - the Two Hour Showroom Showdown.
No media release (so far) just a surreptitious amendment to the race result. Anyone have any idea on how/why their obvious appeal has been upheld? Corrected results also on RaceTime (of course

I'm glad to see they didn't hastily make a decision. I can't see why it would've taken this long, the race was about 9 months ago.

The problem was the fuel system or something wasnt it, with this and the other Mirages?? Its the same fuel system a couple of them used in the 24hr.... go figure

POssibly. Attempting to get hold of Stewards reports from ProCar meetings - but not holdin my breath.
The CAMS bias is well and truly alive on this - they refuse to send out stewards reports for anything other than V8's - Schenkens official response 'Insufficient resources'.... More like bias than resources........ |

I dont think Yanis Derrums or Chris Oxley will all that excited at being reinstated in 5th place, its a result I guess, and the principle at stake may have been proven...
So why does CAMS not love PROCAR? Wouldnt be their 10% equity stake in AVESCO holding them up would it??? |

Of course not - CAMS will tell you that this has nothing to do with anything.
Just don;t try and organise an International race meeting the same day as a SoupCar race though! |

Depends on the event - if a MoPro event - most likely not - think they only pay prize money if you come in 30 seconds ahead of the winner..
