TOCA Race Driver: TEN-TENTHS LEAGUE

Right folks... reaction to the F1 '97 league has been muted but we might go ahead with it. However after playing TOCA I think it would be very simple to implement a league using it. So right now I'm after suggestions as to how you'd like it to work, what sort of races and anything else!!! Fire away...

Thats more like it MF . What ever happens I'm game. It should be pretty easy to do something with the free race mode as you can set all the perameters including AI difficulty, weather, track etc etc.

How come you use F1 '97??

I think F1 2000 is better.

But if we are using Toca, I may consider joining!

You're spot on Damo, the adjustable parameters etc allow the creation of a very flexible system... any suggestions are welcome, I've got a few ideas of my own at the moment but more would be useful!!!

We loaned out Toca Race Driver for the PS2 and it was really poor, the graphics are so amateur!

Yo, Mr. Fuller... you have to give it time, it does grow on ya... and what Damo said... let's face it, when has a TOCA game honestly looked much cop? Didn't stop TOCA 2 from being great...

Fair enough. I mean, I understand - I think both Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec and Metal Gear Solid 2 are over-hyped mugmats...

I bought Toca Rd yesterday, It's good but I'm slightly dissapointed. The in car graphics are terrible and the handling reminds me of Toca World Championship.

A free race in Dtm with the drivers at 95% is great though.

F12001 is better though.

I'm in for this league thingy.

I'd probably be up for something on TOCA RD - still working on getting through the second level though.
F1 2001 - too much like hard work getting the settings right.
GT2/GT3/GTC - too easy( but love the choice available in the old GT2) - would'nt want to shame you all tooo much.

Whats the ideas - some sort of custom championship (which intrigues me) or free run stuff for the best lap time? I've run some GT stuff on another board, but I'll neeed to get more time on TOCA RD to see what we can put together.

I think you should use an older game as then everyone can play. ToCA RD is'nt ou on the PC yet and when i t is I'll probably have to get a new one. Why not use ToCA 2 everyone has that.

I'm finally getting my copy tomorrow then I can start doing what I do best, tearing up the track and making the computer cars watch my rear bumper disappear into the dust cloud! Count me in the league if u get it going.

Don't have TOCA 2, so still wouldn't be able to play. How about using CMR or CMR 2.0?

F1 2000 and Forumula One 2000 are also good games.

I agree with Mackmot about using something older that everyone has. TOCA RD is too new for it to work.

We're going with TOCA RD and possibly an F1 '97 league to be run at the same time (possibly...) I'm currently working out rules and events etc. Any suggestions are more than welcome!!!
