Ralf and Head
Just saw the following story:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/3730707.stm Is there anything to suggest this is true, or is Ralf being a little paranoid? |

Who know's but Ralf is fast talking himself out of a job, time for WW to rush out a few press releases methinks.....
Along the lines of: .......(insert team name) are potentially interested in possibly showing some interest in being slightly interested in Ralf at some point in the distant future yet to be decided, and may even be interested in showing some interest in sending a message to Ralf to that effect, within a suitable yet flexible and open ended timeframe.... I think that this kind of behaviours have never been seen iat Ferrari for ages; it has to mean something about team seriousness and winning profile. Irvine himself, started throwing poison to MS & co just after he left Maranello. |

In most jobs if you slagged off your boss, you'd be sacked.

The pressure to perform is building. As far as auto manufacturers go, BMW is pretty small. I would imagine they are exerting a lot of pressure to get better performances from the team for the huge sums of money they are sinking into it. With both drivers apparently not going to be with the team and all the rumors flying about who will be in the seats, I would imagine that the check writers in the hierarchy of BMW are squirming a bit.

I think Head, if he did indeed say it, is probably right.

Well, it just remains to be seen whether Ralf signs another contract or whether Williams dumps him first. Both ways he's definitely not a williams driver in 2005! I do think that if Ralf doesnt get to certain points by the mid-season, Williams can dump him before the season ends.

Do you mean if he doesn't reach those points they will dump him for next year or dump him there and then for the next race (part way through the season).
The second option is very very unlikely. There is no precedent of this happening. Look at Williams and Zanardi, they kept him to the bitter end of the season. |

Dirty laundry must be washed in-house; this tendency to spread the internal problems through the world media is clearly a sign of team which still has long way to grow. I repeat, at Ferrari there surely can be moment of disappointment (just think of last summer), but never, never, such complaints have been disclosed to the press. Another class, mates. |

According to www.autosport.com Patrick was talking about Ralf'off the record'.
He should know by now that anything he says against a driver or colleague is likely to be printed. |

I definately rememebr Irvine talkng retrospectively about the 1996 Ferrari being a dog of a car.
The Zanardi situation is a little different, because Alex was at least getting on with people at the team, contributing on a personal level, and probably didn't have any release clauses in his contract (which Ralf may do). |

Ralf and Head? If he's a real bloke I'm sure he would be in favor of some..... would help relax him before getting in the car for sure.

or a cr*p box like in '81.
Although the 1996 car wasn't that bad if you looked past it's engine reliability. (hard but possible) It's not like it got any left rear suspension failures when braking into corners. |

The 1996 car was a beast....in a bad way!
It looked like it handled horribly, it broke down a lot and the engine wasn't exactly great. Still, beat the 1992 twin floor car.... Funny how some of the worst handling cars in F1 history have come from the most successful team in F1 history.....the 1981 car, the 1980....oops, there I go again. Hey, we could make an encyclopedia of them! |
