F J Nedos should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Technical Changes for 2005

I remember hearing about potential changes for V8 supercars for 2005 last year.

I heard that they were considering using a Hollinger sequential gearbox for this year and beyond. I remember seeing an interview on TV with LP talking about them.

Has this happened or will it happen?

haha a touch of cynicism... i like it.

One of the things I remember LP talking about was the fact that the sequential box pretty much already existed and was used (maybe in a slightly different form) on the bathurst 24 hour monaros. Perhaps the cost of implementing it in V8's would mean that kelvinmonster and co couldnt be chauffered around at race meetings and flown to them in private jets by guys with dark glasses on...

Interesting call GTR.

A sequential Hollinger, either as a new unit, or a retrofit kit for an existing box is at best 20-25% of the cost of a driver grabbing the wrong gear & 'zinging' an engine.

But the Team principals (& the Kelvinmonster) will tell all & sundry how "their professional drivers don't make such mistakes"

My little birdy has witnessed at least 25 during testing alone over a 2 year period.

My mate @ Hollinger doesn't care, they just keep sending out bit's, while the engine shop boys are put under more pressure............

BTW, I am led to believe that Larry isn't the only Kelvinhater in the paddock...

Oh well, at least the beer will be cold.............

If Cousin Larry doesnt get his franchises, the Kelvinmonster might become as rare a sighting as the one from Loch Ness.....

does this mean the kelvinmonster would make an appearance on the simpsons? they emptied out loch ness on an episode and nessie was an exhibit in springfield....

Nessie ended up working at a casino as a greeter....
