Three cheers for Chigley

Decided to brave the site after all, before you had chance to post any pictures of my poor car!!

I also wanted to say a very BIG THANKYOU for stopping to help after my accident. And for use of phone to ring that nice man at the insurance company who thought it was funny that said accident happened on way to Silverstone!!

Some people laugh at anything, don't they!!

That would be telling!

It's quite simple really, I was on my way to Silverstone and car had a disagreement with the armco just off Junction 10 of M40. Chigley was the only person to stop and help.

I was quite shaken and he very kindly took me to service station until I could get myself plus car picked up.

Ian said I should have a 'before & after' pictures so he has taken a picture (after pic), the before picture is on the Road Car Forum!

Does that satisfy your curiosity CrazyStu?

Hi Mary,
Glad your OK. Remember the car is only a car its you that counts. I was pleased to have been able to help as I hope all of us would have done when we see a tango suit in distress.
In a perverse way you came out of today OK. You could have hit the barrier, carried on, got freezing cold, pelted with hail stones and then gone home to tell your Dad you can trash Beemers better than him.
I'll send photos by email, these curious "colleagues" of ours will have to await your pleasure if they want the before and after shots.
Hope you get the car fixed quickly and properly??? See you at Thruxton.

Hi Chiggers
Road accidents and you seem to be commonplace.
Is there a connection? I think we should be told.
Well done on your Sir Galahad actions.
Is this an early play for Marshal of the Year?
See you in Blighty.

It was on the tip of my tongue to tell Mary that with a little elbow grease it would polish out. Somehow I don't think she would have seen the funny side of that and I'd be in another RTA with a car jack handle.
