someone beat it with the ugly stick. then, horror of horrors, it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down! this is an aesthetic atrocity!!
BAN IT, I SAY! why couldn't they strech the black further along the car? it looks silly with just a black nose. anyone else figure there was going to be a new animal on the front from the buzzing hornets stuff on sale at the show? and what about the no-tobacco slogan? something and fishes is my bet. |

It's not bad, but what's with the dip in the front wing? I noticed it in the Jag and the Sauber as well. There must be a loophole in the allowable front wing clearance limits.
Aside from the paint scheme, I think the car looks great, it looks like some of last years ideas were incorporated into it. As for the shark, its a great idea, but done poorly. bella is right, the black should be continuous along the side. Although I do like the little shark logo on the front wings. |

Trd your probably right about the loophole. When the season starts they will probably have a downforce advantage over the other teams, or smoother air flow over the wing and nose.

Ricardo looks scrumptious in yellow, much better than he looked in that icky grungomatic khaki Pollock designed for Jacques.
The car will make a good diecast. I hope it's faster than last year's car. How about Bubbles & Fishes? |

I actually rather like the design of teh car. the obvious feature is the front wing that rips off the concept Minardi pioneered in 1995. I note that Sauber have used teh idea too. I suspect that it is really "not in the spirit of the rules" and some teams will protest. I nore the new BAR03 does not use the concept, they do have a reason to be after Jordan.

Very strange car. Desighers must have been watching all "Jaws" films before painting it.
How about "Bernie's Herrings" for the non tobacco slogan? |

Hmm...i thought it was pretty okay of the new wing design...surely makes the car look better...
However, i thought that the dip of Jordan's front wing is larger than the U shape dip in the Jaguar and Sauber's front wing...an advantage over their rivals? Could anyone please enlighten me on what the varying effects of the dip besides just having more downforce? I read it somewhere that it is used to scoop more air for a neater airflow under the nose and around into the side pod....anyone? |

I like that angular look they've got going. Puts me in mind of stealth fiighters. All purpose and no fancy curves.

Gutz 'N' Ball's
Lean Mean Racin Machine.... Yeah..It does Look like it has Gutz, Ball's even, Like someone else remarked 'No fancy curves' however the curves i suspect were there 4 a reason... not just because a designer liked curves.. But VW Beatles weren't designed 4 speed..Right? I do hope Jordan has hit the sweet spot this season, we all crave more action at the front. Yeah one other thang were is all the Jordan bimbettes? Maybe Eddie is gittin a bit slow in his old'er age and hasn't finished auditioning them yet. Who's next 2 unvail there effort & when? Best WTP. |

the lower part in the front wing is to help the air flow that passes under the car, to compensate the 5cm higher wings and it shuld be well in the regulations.
i think the ej11 is a very nice car indeed, as apposed to the jaguar that is a flop. the new sauber looks very nice to, and it might be one of the surprises of 2001. |

Awesome looks. Very well worked out the limits in the pre-scripted dimensions.
Not only the front-wing is interesting, the back is fascinating as well. Something I'd like to bring under your attention are the chimney's on the side-pods. What? You didn't notice them? Well me neither at first, because rear-end pics are hard to find but eventually I spotted one. Take a look at this pic and see how Jordan is planning to achieve some forced extraction through the radiators. Spotted the large vanes with the triangular openings at the back? Chimney's version 2001. Beautifully worked out, guiding vanes for streaming on the rearwing as well and the side construction for some large extra wing'boxes' in front of the rear wheels. Cheers, Dino |

I tried to post it for you, Dino.
I'm afraid it won't display for some reason, just the URL inside the ubb 'img' codes. Maybe it's coded so it won't link? The chimneys are interesting though, aren't they? Kinda looks like the Batmobile! |
