I did panic when I saw it... Good job he was entitled to a new engine. Renault are really having reliablility problems; my original feeling that the Monza failure was triggered by the need to do extra work due to the penalty now looks wrong.

This change seems to have nothing to do with reliability, they merely thought it was a better engine after dyno tests.

An engine penalty would not be such a drama anyways. It wouldn't be ideal, but I'm sure he's capable of recovering to eighth. The problem it'd present would be the chance of a mid-pack scuffle.

Having to get past the Red Bull Ferrari's might increase the blood pressure a bit too, especially in my house

I don't think the FIA would condone fighting on the grid.But if there were some fisticuffs during the race,then i'm all for that.

I'm sure Fernando could quite easily finish in the points from the back of the grid.
